Hello, World!

H

It’s been sixteen gazillion years and WordPress is still nudging everyone along with the starter “Hello world!” micro post. Ah, well, I’m just gonna roll with it!

I have no idea what I’m doing here. Seriously, I saw an opportunity to get the .wtf domain extension and I jumped on it!

Why?!?

Well, because I’ve been using the online moniker AnnMarie.WTF (or some derivative thereof) for quite some time now and I really just thought it would be neat… cool… fun… quirky… or something!

So, here I am starting a brand new blog, again. Though I’m not exactly sure what I’m going to do with it, I am feeling like it’s gonna stay fairly basic—or yanno, “old school” ish. The ish is important! I’ve noted there are a lot of new features to learn about and play around with, so I’ll probably just go with the flow and see where it takes me (or us, if you’re interested in coming along for the ride!).

The bottom line is that I’m just excited about the domain extension! 🤣

Also feeling a little bit giddy about kicking it off in sync with a brand new (and as of yet) unspoiled calendar year. It doesn’t hurt that I found a beautiful theme to work with that isn’t heavily image dependent. I have bad history with getting hung up on graphics and feature images to the detriment of actual writing. 😜 Perhaps this will help me keep the focus on the simple things—words.

And maybe words aren’t super popular these days, but I, for one, will forever be a fan!

Anywaaaaaay… I guess I’m off to do some more research and probably a little plugin huntin’! Got any recommendations? Drop ’em in the comments so I can check ’em out! Thanks!!
